“I can’t get over how popular it’s been globally with over 65 million views!

What the client wanted

Angie Scott wanted to start offering cake projection mapping after seeing Disney’s ‘Once upon a Time’ projection mapped cake. She wanted to create interactive, customised cakes for weddings and corporate events that had a real wow factor: the ultimate showstopper! The only problem was that few people know about cake projection mapping, with even fewer people doing it. So Angie needed a UK company that knew all about motion mapping and could do it for cakes.

Our concept

We talked to Angie about what she wanted, how to do it and what clients would want. Then we launched her first projection cake at the National Wedding Show in London’s Olympia in February 2017.

The result

Everyone loved it. The cake received 2,000 likes that first weekend after the wedding show. Then the bookings flooded in – Angie receives roughly 30 emails a day and has got bookings up to 2020. And it’s not just in the UK – this one projection mapped cake went global, receiving over 50 million views worldwide

What the client says

“It went crazy after the launch. The cake has taken the world by storm. It’s been on TV and been viewed by people in the US, Germany, Israel, Canada…Everywhere. And all the big pages are sharing it – the Discovery Channel, AOL, LADbible…Media company Unilad said it’s ‘Possibly the greatest wedding cake ever…’ (https://www.facebook.com/UNILADTech/videos/1888266824784363).
