It looked amazing and it was just really personal and quite moving to see. It’s just so different and it’s very personal. It’s brilliant”

What the client wanted

Emily and Mitch Krayesteyn-Watts wanted to create a wedding that was truly unique. Having seen some examples of Motion Mapping’s work they wanted to include some projection mapping to add real magic to their special day and match their theme of woodland and nature.

Our concept

We talked to Emily and Mitch to understand what they wanted and how we could best create a visual experience that reflected who they are. Armed with information about what they liked, where they proposed and the types of people they are, we were able to create a visual story of their engagement and the things they love.

For the wedding reception, we turned a paneled wall into an animated story reflecting Emily and Mitch, which played as soon as the newly weds had cut their cake.

The result

The bride and groom were delighted. The projection felt very personal to them and the images of cats moved Emily to tears (she loves cats!). The wedding guests were blown away by it, having never seen projection mapped visuals before.

The projection also doubled up as a backdrop to the dance floor, adding even more pizzazz to proceedings.

What the client says

“It looked amazing and it was just really personal and quite moving to see. It was lovely. Stuart was very professional. He listened to what we wanted and took on board everything that we said we liked. I’d recommend it to everyone. It’s just so different and it’s very personal. It’s brilliant.”
