We were at the heart of a Festival of Light, as Harwich celebrated the 400th anniversary of the Mayflower reaching the shores of America.

Of course, a festival on this scale would need huge visuals, giant logos and dramatic shapes running through the town. We were brought in to use our skills, creativity and experience to create an exceptional immersive experience for everyone attending.

Our plans included creating a light wall to dazzle the public and we using Hologauze to create seamless 3D holographic images, adding a futuristic feel to the evening.

The centrepiece would be the large-scale projection mapping of the buildings overlooking the heart of the occasion, including the Pier Hotel and Captain Jones’ house.

Harwich became a sea of light, and using the latest technology in this historic location worked perfectly. The projection-mapped buildings looked flawless and we delighted the crowds with digital firework displays.

Onlookers, media and those we worked with from Tendring Council were all captivated by the light, sound and colour that filled their town.
