Cute visuals of inquisitive puppies projected on Felixstowe high street helped us raise money and awareness for Guide Dogs Week.

BRIEF

Guide Dogs Week is an event organised by the Guide Dogs charity to raise funds and awareness of its work. Penny Parker, a volunteer puppy walker and co-ordinator of the East and Mid-Suffolk fundraising branch, wanted something for Guide Dog Week that was completely different and had never been done before by the charity.

CONCEPT

Penny had rented a shop window in Felixstowe so we worked together to develop visuals which would really make the window stand out and grab the attention of passers by.

Cute puppies was obviously the best way to draw people in, so we created a short film featuring some of the friendly furballs as well as key information about how people could support the charity, how to sponsor a puppy, how to volunteer and how to donate money. We then set up an installation where the video would be projected onto the window.

WOW MOMENT

As a direct result of people watching the projection, Penny took several bookings for talks and the charity received several enquiries from potential volunteers. People also came from the other side of town to see the projection and to donate money.

“It was moving, it was eye-catching, it was visual, it was really good and we got some really, really good feedback,” says Penny. “The shop owner said she’d never seen so many people stop and look at the window.”
