USER ANONYMITY & PERSONAL INFORMATION
Log files are maintained and analysed of all requests for files on this website’s web servers. Log files do not capture personal information but do capture the user’s IP address, which is automatically recognised by our web servers.
Aggregated analysis of these log files is used to monitor website usage. These analyses may be made available to Motion Mapping staff and partner agencies to allow them to measure, for example, overall popularity of the site and typical user paths through the site.
Except as stated already, Motion Mapping will make no attempt to identify individual users. You should be aware, however, that access to web pages will generally create log entries in the systems of your ISP or network service provider. These entities may be in a position to identify the client computer equipment used to access a page. Such monitoring would be done by the provider of network services and is beyond the responsibility or control of Motion Mapping.
Motion Mapping will make no attempt to track or identify individual users, except where there is a reasonable suspicion that unauthorised access to systems is being attempted. In the case of all users, Motion Mapping reserves the right to attempt to identify and track any individual who is reasonably suspected of trying to gain unauthorised access to computer systems or resources operating as part of Motion Mapping web services.
As a condition of use of this site, all users must give permission for Motion Mapping to use its access logs to attempt to track users who are reasonably suspected of gaining, or attempting to gain, unauthorised access.
All log file information collected by Motion Mapping is kept secure and no access to raw log files is given to any third party.
USE OF COOKIES
Cookies are small text files a website puts in your browser. Some keep the site working. Others tell us how the site is used, or help us see whether our adverts work. When you first visit, a banner asks which you accept. You can change your mind at any time: clear this site’s cookies in your browser and the banner will ask again.

Analytics
- Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager (_ga, _ga_7LVHWWXNW0, kept for up to 2 years). It tells us which pages are visited, where visitors came from, and actions such as playing a film or sending the enquiry form. Google may process this data in the US.
- If you accept, we also remember for that visit only the first page you arrived on and where you came from. This is held in your browser’s session storage and cleared when you close the tab.
Advertising
- Meta pixel (_fbp, 3 months), while we run adverts on Facebook and Instagram. It tells Meta that someone who saw an advert visited the site or sent an enquiry.
- If you reached us from one of our Google adverts, the advert’s click reference is kept with your enquiry.
Films
Our films play from Vimeo, and a few from YouTube. Most only load when you press play. When a film plays, Vimeo or YouTube may set their own cookies under their own privacy policies.
Who sees the data
Google, Meta, Cloudflare, CookieYes, Vimeo and YouTube process this data to provide their services. We do not sell it, and we never pass on what you put in the enquiry form.

CONTACT FORMS
When you submit a contact form to us we collect your name and email address so that we can correspond with you. We will only correspond with you regarding your original enquiry. Your data is only used for the original purpose, and never added to any mailing or marketing lists.
With your message we also record the page you sent it from. If you have accepted analytics cookies, we record the first page you visited and the website that brought you to us as well. If you answer “How did you hear about us?”, your answer is kept with your enquiry. We use this only to understand which pages and sources bring enquiries. If you reached us by clicking one of our adverts and have accepted advertising cookies, the advert’s click reference is kept with your enquiry too.
When you subscribe to our newsletter we collect your name (only when provided) and your email address so that we can correspond with you. Your personal data will not only be stored in the website’s database but also in Campaign Monitor, the application we use to send our newsletters.
Users contacting this website and/or its owners do so at their own discretion and provide any such personal details requested at their own risk. Your personal information is kept private and stored securely until a time it is no longer required or has no use. Every effort has been made to ensure a safe and secure form to email submission process but advise users using such form to email processes that they do so at their own risk.
