Film: the Aston Villa club store display, projection mapped retail visuals for the Rampant Lion launch.
Aston Villa built a new club store at Villa Park, and IMA asked us to make its centrepiece move. The club had a lion statue made for its 150th anniversary, engraved with the name of every player to captain the team.
We set up a permanent projection on the lion that maps the club’s greatest moments, notable players and fan favourites onto it. It was in place before the first home game of the 2024/25 season and quickly became the backdrop for fans’ photos and videos. Because it runs long term, we keep the content up to date with what is happening at the club. Our Aston Villa case study tells the story of the store opening.
