AV Awards – 20th Birthday Projection Mapped Cake
Film: a 6.5ft cake projection mapped for the AV Awards 20th birthday, made with Angie Harris Cake Artist.
The AV Awards turned 20 in 2018, and the celebration called for a 6.5 ft cake, made with Angie Harris Cake Artist and projection mapped by us. Gizmo, the awards mascot, was the star.
We had three 2D reference images of Gizmo. From those we modelled him in 3D and animated him dancing hip hop around the cake, while Angie sculpted him in fondant. This was our first year at the AV Awards, and the next year they asked us back for the whole venue at Evolution London.
