OCTOPUS ENERGY (WIND TURBINE PROJECTIONS)
Film: wind turbine projection mapping for Octopus Energy, a 73 m turbine lit for Yorkshire Day and the Euros.
For Yorkshire Day we projected a celebratory message for Octopus Energy and The Yorkshire Post onto a 73 metre wind turbine, with the county’s white rose on the blades.
Octopus did not want the moving blades mapped one by one. Instead we mapped the whole circle they sweep, so the image appears each time a blade passes through it, and we used the tower for brand animations. All of it ran on power taken straight from the turbine. People shared it widely and the press covered it online and in print. We have lit Octopus turbines for other campaigns, including the Euros.
