World Poetry Day 2021
Film: a poem by Christina Reihill projected on London landmarks for World Poetry Day 2021, by Motion Mapping.
A poem by word installation artist Christina Reihill, projected guerrilla style onto the Tate Modern, the Royal Opera House and the Royal Festival Hall in March 2021 for World Poetry Day.
She wrote it in response to the pandemic, and it asks how we deal with losing the things we relied on. We ran it live from an Epson 15,000 lumen projector. Words need more care on a building than pictures do, because a line that breaks in the wrong place on a column stops being readable. Our guerrilla projection page covers work like this.
